The Nike Air Trainer 1 “Photon Dust” Returns June 2nd

Primed for a big 35th birthday bash in 2022, Tinker Hatfields Nike Air Trainer 1 has already seen some interest through some heavily-modified SP releases, as well as the postponed Travis Scott collaborations. With the latter’s release still questionable, it appears that Nike’s in-line releases will kick off soon, following the surfacing of this upcoming Nike Air Trainer 1 “Photon Dust” for the Spring/Summer season.

An original colorway on the Nike Air Trainer 1 Low from 1987, this year’s release sees it return to mid-cut form, with identical color blocking and material execution found throughout. You’ll note true-to-OG perforated white leathers, soft suede toe overlays, and varying shades of grey in all the right placements — even the sole unit features a soft sail tint for that retro appeal. There are a few minor tweaks, including white Nike lettering on the outsole in place of the OG’s green, and an omission of perforations on the tongue.
