This Air Jordan 2 Alumni pays tribute to the classic North Carolina vs. UCLA Alumni Game at Pauley Pavilion on June 28, 1987, where MJ rocked a PE not too dissimilar to this.

Michael Jordan, James Worthy, Kenny Smith and Reggie Miller all laced up for the classic show down, after MJ’s third year in the pro league.

Althought thos wasn’t the first time we saw this PE – Michael Jordan was spotted in this clorway earlier that year on January 18th, as part of the Carolina Pro Alumni basketball game – the first official day of UNC calling the Dean E. Smith Center home.

Pretty close to the OG, this sneaker only yields one difference: the details on the heel that reads, “MJ” and “6/28/87” – the date of the infamous matchup.

The Air Jordan 2 “Alumni” will release in June at select Jordan Brand retailers and most likely online for $190.
