LeBron brings the heat for his big night out.
King James is a superstar. Some would even argue that he’s the GOAT (including myself, but we’ll leave that discussion for another day). Last night’s performance will bring up the debate again, but whichever side of the LeBron/Jordan fence you sit on, you have to admit – last night’s effort against the Wizards was nothing short of spectacular.
King James put up 57 points, 11 rebounds, 7 dimes, 3 steals and 2 blocks. And apart from all that, he hit 29,000 career points, putting him 7th on the all-time scorers list. Not bad for a guy who’s more likely to be remembered as an all-round player, not just a scorer.
But for us sneakerheads – we didn’t just notice his on-court performance, but his sneakers, too. You’ll recall these gems from earlier in the year when they appeared on the King’s feet during KITH’s Nike Sportswear collection unveiling – but they also hit retailers last month. And unluckily for me – here in Australia, they sold out in seconds.
The other sneaker on the night that got us amped was the return of the Nike LeBron 15 Strap – which also first appeared at the KITH fashion show back in September. However, this olvie edition comes with a dope “Long Live The King” lettering in Metallic Gold across the straps. It’s even got includes Gold lace tips and a killer multi-colored inner liner.
While we don’t yet have an official release date for the strapped version, we can confirm it will be happening soon, however, it’s likely that this PE won’t be the one hitting retailers.
