This Kobe “Cool Grey” Jordan 9 PE goes way back to 2002

This rare pair of Jordan 9 PE’s made exclusively for Mamba were a gift from Jordan Brand in aim to woo him over to the Jumpman during his sneaker free agency way back 2002/03. And we’re sure Mike would have pushed extremely hard to get his buddy on board, but ultimately, Mike couldn’t do enough to persuade Kobe to join team Jordan.

The shoe features its usual Cool Grey upper paired with a White midsole that comes with exclusive Yellow branding and Kobe’s then-number “8” stitched on the heels.

Even after all those years, Mike’s ties with Bryant never soured. Just last year, for Kobe Bryant’s retirement, Jordan Brand released an exclusive Air Jordan Kobe Bryant Pack for friends and family back in 2016 that included the Air Jordan 3 and Air Jordan 8.
