It seems that Jordan Brand haven’t quite run out of MJ-related inspo for their colorways — although it seems liker we’re nearing the end of the rope, with this “Charity Game” colorway.

In case of you forget (which we don’t blame you — it’s significance in Mike’s career is zero), it is in fact referring to Mike’s performance in the 1988 Magic Johnson Midsummer Night’s Magic Charity Game , where he dropped a lazy 54 points.

A great performance, yes, but we don’t really need the reasoning anymore. People just want fire colorways. And while this one might not be considered fire, it does arrive at an opportune time for patriotic Jumpman fans. Yes, this USA-like colroway will arrive the week before July 4th.

Coincidence? we think not.
