    Stock-X-pensive.

Before StockX, we never really had a go-to guide for aftermarket pricing, or the data surrounding it to draw any conclusions from. Some love it, some hate it, but regardless, we just love looking at what amounts people have dropped on sneakers each quarter.

And boy, someone was serious about those golden Pharrell Hu NMD from the China Pack, with a buyer dropping a whopping $7,817 on a pair.

The stats are based on all sales between April 1 thru June 30, with no one coming close to the sale of the ultra-rare 300 pair exclusive, the next closes was a mere $2k — which was another Skateboard P collaboration.

The 2 Chainz x Versace Chain-Reaction “Spotted” sold on StockX for $1517 USD.

    So, here’s the list:

    1. adidas x Pharrell Hu NMD ‘China’ pack (Gold) — $7,817 USD
    2. adidas x Pharrell x ‘N.E.R.D’ Hu NMD ‘Homecoming’ — $2,079
    3. Versace x 2 Chainz Chain Reaction ‘Spotted’ — $1,517
    4. Versace x 2 Chainz Chain Reaction ‘Red’ — $1,375
    5. Balenciaga Triple S (White, 2018 reissue) — $1,180
    6. Versace x 2 Chainz Chain Reaction ‘Plaid’ — $1,150
    7. Versace x 2 Chainz Chain Reaction ‘Black’ — $1,141
    8. Balenciaga Triple S ‘Red/Black’ — $977
    9. adidas x Sneakersnstuff Futurecraft 4D — $939
    10. Converse x Off-White Chuck Taylor All-Star — $928

You might notice the absence of Jordan Brand from this list — but don’t freak out just yet, they’re still hot. The Jumpman still dominated the market-share rankings, occupying all spots in the top 5 for Q2, with Virgil Abloh’s UNC Air Jordan 1 being the most desired sneaker of the Q, accounting for more than a quarter of all sneakers sold on StockX during the period. Sheesh.

The Off-White UNC Air Jordan 1 accounted for over a quarter of all sneaker sales on StockX in Q2 of 2018

The market share list is as follows:

    1. Off-White x Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘UNC’ — 27 per cent
    2. Air Jordan 1 Retro ‘Homage to Home’ — 13 per cent
    3. Travis Scott x Air Jordan 4 ‘Cactus Jack’ — 12 per cent
    4. Air Jordan 1 ‘Shadow’ (2018) — 11 per cent
    5. Air Jordan 1 Satin ‘Shattered Backboard’ (W) — 9 per cent

It will be interesting to see how if the Off-White dominance continues over Q3 and 4 as the collaboration has well and truly reached maturity and market saturation. For those figures, stay locked in to the House of Heat come November.
