Well, if The Truth says so . . . iT’s GotTa bE TruE!
Paul Pierce’s comment on the theory of the earth being flat is mind-numbing. Yes, the NBA champion and future Hall of Famer has really outdone himself this time.
Paul Pierce: “If I take off [on a flight], I should be able to get to Russia in an hour if the Earth is moving 1,000 miles per hour.”

Whoa, dude. And this man’s nickname is the Truth?
I have read this multiple times to try to understand what Pierce was actually trying to say, and I still don’t.

Well this clears things up a little bit more. However, it’s seems that today that the Boston Celtics legend was just generally off his rocker.
On ESPN’s The Jump today, Pierce also decided to comment on DeMar DeRozan and Kawhi Leonard, debating whether or not Leonard was “that” much better than DeRozan. Many fans of the NBA have criticized the comments he has made today.
It’s really just a shame that as soon as Kyrie Irving admitted he was wrong about the earth being flat, Pierce takes over his role mere days after. Maybe it’s just the Boston connection between the two. Is there something in the water? Regardless, Pierce is getting scorched on social media. I highly doubt he cares, but it’s a terrible look regardless.
