This time it’s confirmed. Kind of.
Yeah, I know. We’ve heard it before. The Air Jordan 4 “Bred” with Nike Air branding was originally rumored to release every year for the last 4 years. And again we’ve got word that it’s locked in for February 2019. Sneaker Rumors have taken to Facebook today to drop this “confirmation” on us, but we’re still skeptical until we hear an official word from Nike.
That being said, it would make sense for a release next year, after this year’s All-Star focus on the Air Jordan 3 fo it’s 30th anniversary. The 4 will be celebrating the same milestone during next year’s All-Star festivities on Michael’s new home court in Charlotte.
According to SHOF, a “Black/Cement Grey-Summit White-Fire Red” Air Jordan 4 dropping in April. We’ve been sceptical that it is actually the OG Bred 4 colorway that is releasing, because the only factory shots we’ve seen thus far is the reproduced 1989 “Splatter” Sample, which also arrives in the same colors.
Regardless, the release — for whatever the hell we’re getting — is happening in April 2019. Stay tuned for more.
