Disney's Mickey & Friends Goes Streetwear With BAPE Collection

A BATHING APE®︎ continues to team up with global cultural institutions to develop playful, street-ready items. The latest example arrives in the form of a multi-piece Mickey & Friends Collection by Disney.

A first glance at the collaboration arrived late last month by way of Bobby Kim's Instagram account—Co-Founder of The Hundreds and current Global Creative Director at Disney Consumer Products (DCP). The project mixes Kim's background in streetwear and love of vintage Disney graphics to create a merch drop that blends heritage with ongoing trends.

A BATHING APE®︎ has shared official product images of some of the offerings from its linkup with Disney. The selection is divided between Mickey Mouse product for men and Minnie Mouse styles for women—including BAPE®︎ crewneck sweatshirts and BABY MILO®︎ graphic t-shirts.

The first installment of the Mickey & Friends BAPE®︎ Collection releases on Saturday, Aug. 22, via BAPE STORE® and BAPE.COM. Expect Mickey and Minnie designs to be accompanied by other Disney characters soon.
