Adidas Celebrate 75th Anniversary With Three-Pair Footwear Collection

As Adidas celebrates its 75th anniversary, the brand revisits its heritage with a special edition collection that pays homage to three of its most enduring silhouettes in the brand's back catalog: the Samba, Gazelle, and Handball Spezial.

Since the founding of adidas by Adi Dassler on August 18, 1949, the brand has evolved significantly, and this collection reflects a tribute to its rich history.

This anniversary lineup showcases each model in refreshing yet familiar colorways. The Gazelle adopts a bold black-on-yellow design against an off-white sole, balancing retro appeal and modern flair. The Samba reverses its classic color scheme to a crisp white-on-black, offering a new take on a timeless style. Meanwhile, the Handball Spezial flips one of its original colorways to feature white-on-blue with a classic gum sole, nodding to its 1979 debut.

Each model is further distinguished by the elegant gilded heel and interior collar detailing, celebrating the brand's 75th anniversary with "Adidas 75" and the significant date "08.18.24" marked inside, the official date of the anniversary.

The collection is set to debut slightly ahead of the anniversary date, with an initial release in Japan on August 16th. Sneaker enthusiasts in the US and other regions eagerly await confirmation of a release date.
