Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE 3 “Iridescent Purple” Looks Back to an AE 1 PE

Anthony Edwards’ third signature sneaker with adidas is adding another colorful look for Holiday 2026, with the adidas AE 3 “Iridescent Purple” expected to release later this year.

The pair dresses the AE 3 in a rich purple textile upper, while the model’s sweeping side panels take on an iridescent finish that shifts between icy blue, pink, and silver depending on the light. White breaks up the look across the tongue, while purple laces, lining, heel details, and a translucent outsole keep the colorway tied together.

There also appears to be some history behind the palette. The combination of purple and shimmering iridescent accents recalls Anthony Edwards’ adidas AE 1 “Overtime Select” PE, bringing a similar visual treatment to the next generation of his signature line.

Additional details include metallic finishes around the side structure, adidas branding at the heel, and reflective material at the toe that becomes much more pronounced under flash.

The adidas AE 3 “Iridescent Purple” is expected to release during Holiday 2026 for $130. An exact release date has yet to be confirmed.
