As reported last year, adidas will be honoring the late Kobe Bryant through reissues of his short-lived adidas linage throughout 2022 and beyond. Now, after revealing the model which he wore during the 1997 NBA Dunk Contest, new imagery of his most famous Three Stripes shoe, the adidas Crazy 1 “Metallic Silver” have surfaced, confirming earlier reports of its return.
Just one look at the bulky Audi TT-inspired Kobe 1, and you’ll see that adidas has replicated the OG as best they can, with its thick-set body, clunky toe box, and indented detailing at the midfoot. Its striking silver upper is retained, as is the juxtaposed black inner bootie and dark grey midsole.
Despite how ugly and ridiculed they may be, this is a must-have for any true Kobe fan, and will likely be one of the hardest adidas drops to obtain this year.
