Following the success of last October’s release, Adidas is set to drop a low-top variant of the Crazy 8 "Lakers" this summer. This updated version maintains all the same design cues as its high-top predecessor, celebrating the franchise that defined Kobe Bryant’s early years in the league.
The shoe retains its premium white leather upper, keeping the aesthetic clean and sophisticated. Subtle cream accents appear on the midsole, providing a vintage touch. At the same time, the defining Lakers elements—purple and gold brand markings and pull tabs—continue to pay homage to Los Angeles' storied basketball legacy. A set of light-yellow rear cross straps, now positioned lower due to the new cut, act as functional upper eyestays and an additional nod to the franchise’s signature colors.
Underfoot, a black rubber outsole ensures durability, while the purple Torsion system remains intact, bridging Adidas’ rich performance heritage with modern-day sneaker culture. The switch to a low-top profile offers a more casual, summer-friendly option, making it a versatile choice both on and off the court.
The Adidas Crazy 8 Low "Lakers" is expected to be released this summer. Stay tuned for more details as an official launch date nears.
