Though its comeback was first revealed over 18 months ago, releases of Kobe Bryant’s adidas Crazy 97 EQT have been few and far between. With significantly more focus thrust upon the bulky Audi TT-inspired Kobe 1, the Crazy 97 EQT (the EQT Elevation) — the shoe he wore during his 1997 NBA rookie season — has been hard to find. But as we enter the new year, the Three Stripes will kick things off for the silhouette with a striking new white and black installment, complete with accents inspired by the Los Angeles Lakers.
Rocking bold, black tongues and liners and a stark mid panel, the pair is framed by bright white leather panels and wavy mid-rise midsoles. Oversized white stripes dress the aforementioned mid panel, with more two-tone tooling sitting underfoot. Back up top, the pair is peppered with purope and gold branding, including an ankle brand mark, Crazy face at the tongue, and embroidered Three Stripes logos on the pulls.
Having already released on adidas Australia, a US drop for the adidas Crazy 97 EQT “White/Black” is expected soon, though nothing has been confirmed by the footwear brand.
