Official Looks at the adidas D Rose 1 CNY “Forbidden City”

Following on from our first report in October, the adidas D Rose 1 Chinese New Year “Forbidden City” has finally surfaced.

While first looks at the pair come courtesy of internal catalogs, it’s only today that we get a first full look at the pair, which does arrive in the expected leather makeup. The GeoFit collar arrives in patent leather, as does the medial #1-branded lacestay and tongue, with the pair paying tribute to Chinese culture through a traditionally-patterned collar and insole. Metallic gold detail arrives boldly in the back, along the sides and down the tongue, and the pair comes complete with a white and red sole unit.

A price point is set for $170, and it’s set to release alongside other adidas Hoops sneakers including a Harden Vol. 4, Pro Model and Dame 4 for the annual celebration.
