The upcoming “Boardwalk” adidas D Rose 10 is not the only Derrick Rose signature sneaker to pay tribute to a classic colorway from the D Rose 4, with this heartfelt D Rose 10 “Brenda” making its way to retailers.
It’s a sneaker that will again delve into the things that Rose himself holds important: his family and his roots in the city of Chicago — two recurring themes in the D Rose signature series. Shown below is the adidas D Rose 4 “Brenda,” which first debuted back in October 2013 and is just one of many from the long line of Brenda-branded releases. It was dedicated to his mother’s fondness for the color red, although it’s unsure whether that came to be before or after her son rose to prominence with the Chicago Bulls.

The colorway also represents the transition of Derrick from his focused, humble and understated off-court personality to his fierce, attacking and aggressive on-court playing style. The classic red synthetic leather front half of the shoe features a similar perforated gloss finish, black in the back and white sole units. The unmistakable bold white Three Stripes branding hits the heels to complete the tribute colorway.
