adidas Dame 5 “People’s Champ” To Release In February

The Champ is here! (almost).

Damian Lillard is always slept on.

Portland Trail Blazers’ franchise player is ultra athletic, a proficient score and all round hooper. He’s a nice guy, to boot and hell — he can even rap. He truly broke out last season, earning his first-ever All-NBA First Team selection, and is backing it up this year, averaging 26 PPG.

And just like Dame’s on court improvements, his signature adidas line follows suit. His brand-new adidas Dame 5 is set to debut this February, with yet another colorway surfacing labelled “People’s Champ”

Lillard’s new sneaker feature a stretchy mesh collar and a two-piece upper: suede on the rear, mesh on the forefoot. A Bounce-loaded midsole and outsole with an aggressive traction pattern arrive to provide comfort and court feel.

The colorway itself is fairly basic— dressed in black with speckled red accents on the midsole and a red “People’s Champ” — a reference to his love for Wrestling — which he made evident when he rocked up to a game dressed as Stone Cold Steve Austin Halloween
