If you aren't chronically online, and have been wondering why Rosalía wore a pair of football boots to the MET Gala, House of Heat° is here to inform you that a #BootsOnlySummer trend has recently infiltrated the U.S. Having started overseas, the movement sees folks wear cleats with their everyday outfits. While eyebrow-raising (and surely uncomfortable), the decision is the natural evolution of the blokcore trend, which has seen brands like Adidas explode in popularity. It seems that the Three Stripes has taken notice of the #BootsOnlySummer trend, offering the F50 Adiframe as the best of both worlds.
Developed ahead of and launched in time for the 2006 World Cup, the Adidas +F50.6 football boot is one of the sport's most iconic designs of the last 30 years. Endorsed by the one and only Lionel Messi, the F50 series has gone one to deliver handfuls of different iterations, onboarding promising talent the likes of Lamine Yamal in the process. Built with speed in mind, the inaugural +F50.6 design introduced a synthetic, shrouded upper. Tooling allowed for wearers to exchange the boot's stud configuration to fit different field types, thus giving the boot its "Tunit" differentiation. Adidas Originals' impending F50 Adiframe draws inspiration from the customizable silhouette, adding a protective cover to the studs underfoot for use off-the-pitch.

Set to debut in a "Shock Pink/Bold Green/Silver Metallic" color scheme, the newly-surfaced pair features a faithful recreation of the upper. Underfoot, the story becomes modern as the stud layout falls in line with current Adizero solutions. Furthermore, a semi-translucent plastic frame wraps around the top-half's lower area to protect the entirety of the outsole. The Adiframe setup includes rubber at the forefoot and heel, allowing for worry-free wear. With the F50 Adiframe, folks can participate in the #BootsOnlySummer without having to deal with the discomfort caused by wearing cleats on pavement, which also breaks down old school boots.
