adidas has been committed to the 2026 World Cup™, but it might've recently topped its efforts by enlisting Timothée Chalamet, Lionel Messi, Bad Bunny, and others for a football-related short film.
Over the last couple of months, the New York Knicks fanatic has been spotted wearing several adidas Originals sneakers, leading the internet to believe that Chalamet had signed with the Three Stripes as a brand ambassador. It looks like Timmy having been wearing styles like the Stan Smith was him and adidas soft-launching their partnership, which seems central to the company's new World Cup™ ad.
The latest spot from the Three Stripes sees Chalamet telling the tale of a local football team that's gone on to become legendary. It's still unclear exactly who forms the team, although the film showcases adidas icons David Beckham, Zinedine Zidane, and Alessandro Del Piero in younger form.
Across 1 minute, 36 seconds, numerous members of the extended adidas Family appear, including:
- Lamine Yamal
- Jude Bellingham
- Trinity Rodman
- Santiago Giménez
- Florian Wirtz
- Ousmane Dembélé
It's still unclear what each person's role will be in the world the ad exists in, but it's possible each footballer will promote the F50 and Predator football boot franchises, which will be important for adidas during the World Cup™ this summer.
Stay tuned for the full film and head over to adidas.com right now to secure your FIFA World Cup™ gear ahead of the June 11 kick off.
