adidas Gil Zero “SLAM” is Returning in 2022

Earlier this year we were treated to the re-release of Gilbert Arenas’ first signature shoe, the Adidas Gil Zero, in OG and PE colorways alike. And while the Habachi colorway was certainly one of the most anticipated thus far, it might be overtaken by the return of 2008’s homage-fuelled effort from SLAM magazine, which honored Agent Zero’s infamous cover shoot.

Keeping most of its original design intact, the pair is packed with orange patent leather, blue tiger stripes, and tiger graphics inspired by Gil’s chest tattoo. “MY SWAG IS STILL PHENOMENAL” arrives plastered on the medial strap, nodding to the OG pair that had “MY SWAG WAS PHENOMENAL” at the heels. There’s also added BOOST tech that keeps things in line with previous Restomod releases.
