adidas has always been a powerhouse in the world of footwear, but in recent years, the brand has stepped up its game by collaborating with some of the biggest names in the fashion industry. From Kanye West’s Yeezy line to Beyoncé’s Ivy Park, Adidas has proven that it can hold its own in the fashion world.
Arguably the brand’s most successful partnerships to date — outside of the YEEZY Brand, of course — has been with the Italian fashion house Gucci. After the success of their first collection in mid-2022, rumors have been circulating about a sophomore collection. And now, with the release of official campaign imagery for season two, it seems that those rumors have been confirmed.
Designed by legendary designer Alessandro Michele, both the collection and the lookbook draw from archival catalogs and capture the energetic spirit of the ’80s. The footwear selection includes new iterations of popular styles like the Gazelle, as well as new Adilette and Sideline slides. But the biggest news is the debut of the ZX 8000, which arrives in a quartet of colorways – including an OG-inspired take — for both men and women.
The clothing catalog features a mix of re-releases and new garments, all with a bold, colorful aesthetic that is sure to turn heads. From velvet and suede to snakeskin and bold prints, the collection is a testament to Adidas and Gucci’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of fashion.
Grab a look for yourself just below, and look for the collection to drop at select Gucci stores, dedicated pop-ups, online on Gucci’s website, as well as on the adidas CONFIRMED app on March 31.
