The Adidas Intimidation Low is set for a proper retro run throughout 2025.
Seen most recently via a number of collaborations with Packer Shoes, the silhouette is a product of Adidas designer Shane Ward's mind. Developed in 1999, the sneaker helped promote the Three Stripes' Feet You Wear line of products. This series intended to help basketball players achieve a 'natural' ground feel without sacrificing performance, and was overseen by Peter Moore–the man behind the Air Jordan 1. A young Kobe Bryant's signature sneaker line also utilized the FYW system, but the Yeezy 500 served as countless people's introduction to the retro technology.
Packer's iterations of the Adidas Intimidation Low favored understated color palettes rooted in fashion. And while the silhouette's impending retro run also includes a stealthy 'Core Black' makeup, it'll also revisit several eye-catching styles from the brand's archives. Ward's design kicked things off with a 'Core White/Royal Blue/Core Black' colorway that harkens back to numerous proposals from the Adidas Lexicon family (one once co-signed by Jonah Hill). It's possible the Intimidation Mid's original 'Wonder Glow' look will ultimately land on the low-top in a similar fashion that the Crazy 8 Low has borrowed some of its taller counterpart's beloved colorways.
