adidas and the German Basketball Federation (DBB) have officially announced a new long-term partnership, marking a major step in the brand’s continued investment in German basketball at every level of the game. Beginning in 2026, adidas will become the official apparel and footwear partner of all 23 German national basketball teams, spanning men’s, women’s, youth, 5-on-5, and 3x3 programs.
The agreement also extends to wheelchair basketball, with adidas outfitting all five national teams as part of its role as general outfitter of the German Disabled Sports Federation (DBS). The move reinforces adidas’ commitment to inclusivity while further embedding the Three Stripes into Germany’s basketball ecosystem on and off the court.
For adidas, the partnership is deeply rooted in heritage and momentum. Born in Germany, the brand reunites with the country’s most successful sibling duos in basketball history: Franz and Moritz Wagner, stars of the Orlando Magic, and Satou and Nyara Sabally, standouts across the WNBA and international play. All four athletes will represent adidas both with the German national team and in their respective U.S. professional leagues.
The collaboration was officially unveiled alongside the debut of new DBB jerseys. The home kit arrives in classic white, highlighted by a black piped V-neck and armholes, with the Three Stripes rendered in black, red, and gold along the sides. “Deutschland” lettering, the federal eagle, and adidas branding sit across the chest, while subtle pinstripes nod to the DFB’s 125th anniversary jersey released earlier this year.
The away jersey switches to an anthracite base, featuring a dotted pattern inspired by a basketball’s textured surface. Red piping frames the neckline and armholes, with gold Three Stripes completing the look. The kits are set to make their on-court debut during the men’s World Cup qualifying games against Croatia on February 26 (away) and March 1 (home) in Bonn.
DBB President Ingo Weiss called the partnership a perfect alignment of excellence, innovation, and national pride, while adidas Central Europe Managing Director Marina Moguš emphasized the cultural impact of basketball’s recent rise in Germany following the men’s European Championship win.
With additional adidas ambassadors including Andreas Obst, Marie Reichert, Emily Bessoir, and Frieda Bühner, the partnership signals a unified push toward the future of German basketball — one built on performance, culture, and global visibility.
