The adidas NMD_R1 has been a streetwear staple since the day it was launched back in late 2015 thanks to its forward-thinking design, aesthetics and BOOST sole. However despite having a somewhat slow debut, the technically reworked adidas NMD_R1 V2 is only now seeing an increasing number of colorways see the light of day, this latest duo will help continue the NMD lineage for years to come.
The new additions to the V2 catalog is at its core a monochromatic palette with striking details that will no doubt catch peoples attention. Firstly, we see a predominately tonal black Primeknit upper, black BOOST sole and a white rear midsole insert, “Signal Coral” saturated accents feature on the outer sole, front midsole insert, heel pull and lace tips that really pops off the black foundation —much like the duo’s championing oversized tongue branding. Lastly, like its aforementioned sibling, the foundational aesthetic has been inverted to white with a few minor misplacements.
Both pairs are already available at adidas Australia, which means you should expect to see pairs surface Statesidein the coming weeks. For updates on that, make sure you’re following our official Twitter account and until then, enjoy an official look at the dup here below.
