adidas NMD R1 “Yoda” Releases Dec. 2nd

BOOST is boldly going where no sneaker tech has gone before: interstellar. Having just unveiled a six-piece collaborative pack to celebrate the cushioning tech’s new connection to the International Space Station, the future for footwear may well be literally written in the stars. But for adidas and their BOOST, there’s already one project in place that reaches out a little bit further than the ISS — their impending three-pronged Star Wars collection.

Joining December’s “Character Collection” is this “Yoda” NMD R1, complete with a “Legend Earth” green upper paired with a beaming neon green medial stripe that’s reminiscent of the Jedi Master’s trusty lightsaber. Overlays and EVA inserts arrive tonal to the upper, with crisp white BOOST midsoles sporting a glow green gradient for effect. Heels are inscribed with the little man’s famed quote of “Do or do not. There is no try.” while his Stan Smith-esque portrait is placed on the tongue.
