Sitting somewhere between the Crazy BYW 2.0 and the YEEZY 700 v3 — and even borrowing elements from Nike’s Air Max 270 React ENG — the all-new adidas Ozelia has presented itself as a new low-cost, low-cut wear that pulls in design elements from multiple categories.
Retro hoops influence is channeled by the BYW-like sole unit, while the shape and cut of the upper resemble Ye’s aforementioned third installment of the 700. Its neoprene upper looks back to the recently-redesigned Ozweego, whilst the wavy vamp and suede toe overlays are eerily similar to Nike’s aforementioned Air Max (one made most famous by Travis Scott). Now, after appearing in a quartet of tonal color options, a fiery gradient iteration has appeared. Like the aforementioned YEEZY 700 v3 the pair presents with black neoprene uppers and cream soles/toes that immediately evoke memories of the silhouette. From there, a striking gradient heel overlay runs from the ankle to the toe, with heel panels, eyestays, and outsole pods following in hue. Once more, reflective Three Stripe panels return at the profiles to complete the design.
The release date for the pair is not yet known, but a price point of $100 has been confirmed. Until more news arrives, grab a detailed look at the four options just below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
