Patrick Ewing Iconic ’80s Sneaker is Returning
Unrivaled.
adidas’ legendary ’80s silhouette, the Rivalry Hi is set to return in — probably — it’s most iconic colorway ever. Originally debuted in this Knicks colorway back in 1986 by New York Hall of Famer and Georgetown Alumni Patrick Ewing, the silhouette has been resurgent since it’s inclusion in a capsule collaboration with Eric Emanuel late last year.
I mean, collabs are good and all, but you can never surpass an OG. And this high-top’s retro release stays true to that original form, rocking a classic white leather upper, royal blue Three Stripes, a large Trefoil on the heel, and a ton of Knickerbocker blue and orange detailing throughout. The only real difference is the tongue branding. With Ewing no longer affiliated with the brand, his personal logo has been reworked to read “Adidas” instead of “Ewing.”
Release dates and pricing are still to be announced for the “Knicks” Adidas Rivalry Hi, but you can expect it to hit adidas.com over the coming months, so stay tuned for more!
