The Samba run continues. After surfacing in a cracked leather-trimmed “Pink Fusion” finish, adidas is already preparing another elevated take on the terrace staple, this time swapping suede and soft seasonal color for a cleaner faux croc-skin treatment.
Expected to release during the Summer 2026 season, this new adidas Samba keeps the silhouette’s familiar football DNA intact while pushing its material story in a more premium direction. The pair arrives in an off-white faux croc leather upper, giving the low-profile classic a glossy textured finish across the toe, quarter, eyestay, and heel. It’s a subtle shift from the usual suede-heavy builds, but one that gives the model a noticeably sharper edge.
Dark brown Three Stripes and a matching heel tab provide contrast, while gold “Samba” branding appears along the lateral side. Cream laces and a matching tongue keep the upper tonal, allowing the croc texture to do most of the work. Underfoot, the gum rubber sole remains unchanged, preserving the indoor football foundation that has helped carry the Samba from the pitch to the pavement.
It also feels like part of a broader push from adidas to keep the Samba moving through material-first updates. With the World Cup now right around the corner, the timing could not be better for the brand’s long-running football trainer to keep stacking new options — especially pairs that feel a little more refined than the standard inline fare.
The adidas Samba “Faux Croc” is expected to release during Summer 2026 via adidas.com and select retailers.
