Adidas Originals continues to breathe new life into some of its most important sports designs of all-time. Ahead of summer, the fashion-focused imprint has reworked the Samba LT (long tongue) in two new color schemes and untraditional X-stitching on profile branding.
Unlike the style popularized by it girls across the globe, the impending drop features a fold-over tongue that harkens back to the Adidas Samba's origins as a performance football boot. Wales Bonner and other collaborators have reintroduced the silhouette's LT iteration to the market, utilizing it to tell specific narratives and serve as an additional piece for their creativity.
The Three Stripes' latest inline offerings do the same. Stamped with the brand's trefoil logo, the long tongue also features contrasting stitching around the edges. The detail also appears across the 3-Stripes branding on the sides, providing a reinforced structure and refreshing visual. Most of the pairs' leather construction opts for either "Off White" or "Core Black" finishes. Some of the aforementioned elements take on the opposite tone across the duo in order to provide contrast. Sole units, however, reprise their classic "Gum Five" finish, allowing for the top-halves to revel in the spotlight.
Enjoy official photos of the Samba LT duo ahead. Firm release details haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but pairs should hit Adidas.com before September arrives.
