The Mexican National Football Team has been in partnership with the Three Stripes since 2007. Over the last 18 years, fans of La Selección have been treated to dozens of different jerseys and products donning their team's colors, logos, and name. Ahead of the 2025 Gold Cup, the German sportswear giant has prepared an Adidas Samba to match Mexico's 'Black/Gold' uniforms for the tournament.

Officially clad in 'Core Black/Gold Metallic,' the sneakers abandon the team's signature green color scheme in favor of something more elegant and relevant to CONCACAF tournament in June. But the two-tone style isn't exclusively inspired by the Gold Cup. As with other kits supplied by Adidas, the upcoming uniform harkens back to Mexico's Away kit from 2011 (remember that goal by Giovanni Dos Santos against the U.S. in the 2011 Gold Cup Final?). Additionally, an official product description by the Three Stripes reveals that 2025's black-and-gold design draws inspiration from mariachi outfits you might find in Guadalajara, Jalisco and Mexico City's Plaza Garibaldi.

Adidas hadn't launched Mexico's 2025 Gold Cup kit by the time of writing, but the newly-surfaced Samba revealed details and product photography that surely made fans eager to pay whatever it takes to get their hands on the black-and-gold camisetas.

The sneaker abandons its typical leather upper in favor of a textile construction, although the T toe maintains its common suede build. Profile 3-Stripes and Achilles' heel panels opt for shiny patent leather that indulges in 'Gold Metallic.' The details on the sidewalls also feature an embossed pattern that nods to the mariachi inspiration. México replaces Samba text on the lateral profile.

Elsewhere, La Selección's Eagle logo appears on the top of the tongue and the footbed. The emblem, introduced in late 2021 after 33 years with the same escudo, also enjoys the two-tone execution. Underfoot, the sole unit keeps things simple in black.

Enjoy official photos of the latest Samba dedicated to Mexico's National Football Team ahead, before heading over to Foot Locker US to secure a pair today for $100. Adidas is scheduled to launch the pair online and in stores on Friday, March 14. The new kits should be available via Adidas.com/Mexico soon.
