From waffle-inspired SBs to ice cream-themed collabs, food has long been a muse for sneaker brands. Continuing that flavorful tradition, Adidas pays homage to one of Taiwan’s most iconic street eats with the upcoming Adidas Samba “Taiwanese Fried Chicken.”
The pair captures the look and feel of the crispy dish through a refined material mix and warm color palette. The suede upper takes on a light beige hue reminiscent of the batter, while the Three Stripe overlays adopt a textured, fried-style appearance that echoes the golden crust of Taiwanese popcorn chicken. Pops of red branding hit the tongue and lateral “SAMBA” text, with olive-green laces offering a savory contrast. Additional touches include a tan leather lining, gold foil Taipei branding at the heel, and special chicken-graphic tongues and insoles — a nod to the dish’s cultural roots and street-food heritage.

Extra laces are included, giving wearers a different flavor options to match their fit.
No release details have been announced yet, but the Adidas Samba “Taiwanese Fried Chicken” is expected to arrive on Adidas.com, exclusively in the APCA region, before 2025 ends.
