To close out its 30th-anniversary celebrations, SLAM and Adidas collaborated on the Crazy Two to welcome the return of the model. Inspired by Kobe Bryant’s first SLAM cover from Issue #15 in 1996, this two-pair pack honors the magazine’s legacy and Kobe’s groundbreaking partnership with Adidas.

The Crazy Two, originally released in 2001, was ahead of its time with a design inspired by the Audi TT roadster. The shoe’s bold proportions and sharp lines marked a shift in basketball footwear, and SLAM’s exclusive version highlights its boundary-pushing appeal. Wrapped in premium suede, the two pairs draw their colors from the teal and yellow tones featured on Kobe’s iconic SLAM cover.

Special details include SLAM’s Three Stars embroidered on the tongue, brick-patterned insoles paying homage to the original cover backdrop, and the magazine’s 30th Anniversary crest on the heel. These touches tie the collaboration to one of the most celebrated moments in SLAM’s history and Bryant’s rise to global stardom.

As part of this collaboration, Adidas is set to release other original Crazy Two colorways in 2025. For now, the SLAM edition of the Crazy Two stands as a fitting tribute to a player, a magazine, and a shoe that forever changed basketball culture.
