The adidas Springblade Is Making a Comeback
More than a decade after its original run, the adidas Springblade is set to return.
Last seen in 2013, the unmistakable runner is coming back with the same exaggerated blade-shaped tooling that made the original stand out, while adidas has reworked the construction to address issues from the first release.
The returning Springblade keeps the dimensions and visual identity of the 2013 model, including its full-length blade system underfoot. Up top, however, the shoe has been rebuilt with an updated mesh base, a new dual-injected TPU heel cap, refreshed speed-lacing system, revised toe overlays and a molded vamp. A new molded sockliner has also been added for improved comfort.
One of the first colorways to surface pairs a black mesh upper with deep blue tooling and toe overlays, while orange accents appear across the Three Stripes, heel branding and Springblade detailing. The metallic blue finish across the blades makes the shoe’s signature sole unit the focal point once again.
The Springblade is expected to return in multiple colorways, though adidas has yet to confirm full release details, pricing or an exact launch date.
