The Adidas Superstar has lived many lives over the last 55 years. From being the pinnacle of basketball footwear to helping unite hip-hop and sportswear, the shell-toe has left its impact on the world. As it continues to celebrate its special milestone, the sneaker continues to reimagine itself for the modern era.
Ahead of fall, the Superstar will join Adidas Originals' racing-inspired efforts. A white, green, and black color scheme comes together across the decades-old design, with overlays throughout the pair indulging in a puffy presentation. Superstar text is reworked in the same way as branding on the insole, drawing inspiration from retro motorsports graphics. The rubber toe and sole unit deviate in a faux-aged finish, nodding to the design's heritage.
Firm Adidas.com release details haven't been disclosed by the brand as of yet, but that's expected to change by October. In the meantime, enjoy official photos of the sneaker ahead.
