Where Magic happened.
T-Mac’s time in Orlando was — dare I say it — magical. Tracy McGrady was on a rampage through the early 00’s, dropping huge buckets, superhuman dunks, and notch up Ws while carrying the entire organization on his back. It was a magical time for adidas, too, who truly dominated the early part of the decade with athletes like McGrady and Kobe Bryant on the roster.
Originally released in 2002, if the T-MAC association wasn’t enough, the sneaker was notably worn by highschooler LeBron James, instantly increasing the sneakers clout at the time. Now McGrady’s first-ever adidas signature shoe — the T-MAC 1 — is returning in Orlando Home-Strip Colors. Royal blue hits the smooth-leathered white sneakers, from the toe cap/vamp overlay to the sockliner, to the debossed Three-Stripe profile branding and the blue outsole. Embroidered branding also arrives on the heel and tongue, as well as T-Mac’s #1 on the lateral heel. adiprene cushioning and a midfoot torsion plates make the retro as ready as ever for the hardwood — should any of you actually hoop in your shoes.
Take a peek at T-Mac’s remastered crep below, and look for pairs to release at stores like SNS on March 1st for $160 USD.
