Revealed on-foot of the Atlanta Hawks star during their spirited post-season run, the adidas Trae Young 1 has been a topic of discussion for hardwood warriors for weeks. And though an official release date for the silhouette has not yet been set, the surfacing of official images of the debut “Ice Trae” colorway could indicate that it won’t be too far off into the future.
The low-cut Lightstrike and BOOST-loaded signature sneaker is set to debut in this chilly colorway, which hams up Trae’s ultra-cool nickname. With zig-zagging ice blue uppers, frost-dripping eyestays, snow-white midsoles, and icy-translucent outsoles, it’s easy to see Ice Trae’s play on words. Pops of red throughout the pair marry up to the Slurpee-drinking Polar Bear in the rear and iced-out #11s on the insoles. Underfoot we find three traction types, with herringbone upfront, lineal at the midfoot, and circular at the heel. Finally, the pair is capped off with callouts to the man himself, with Rayford Trae Young detailing at the heel pull, and a TY logo at the tongue.
