The adidas Trae Young 3 Debuts August 3
As adidas Basketball gears up for the next decade, its future will be heavily influenced by the dynamic, high-scoring guards. Trae Young, the youngest of adidas' signature athletes, is not just a part of this promising quartet, but also an explosive scorer who proudly wears the 3-Stripes. This autumn, Young's third signature shoe with the German sports gear giant is all set to make its debut, joining the ranks of the newly showcased adidas Harden Vol. 8 and Anthony Edward's first-ever signature silhouette.
Just like Edward's and Harden's recent offerings, the forthcoming adidas Trae Young 3 also leans towards the terrain-inspired design that has been a significant hit on Kanye West's Yeezy line collaborations and subsequent slide offerings from the Three Stripes. This design strategy is brought to life with a distinct geographical pattern embossed across the exaggerated sole of the shoe, presenting a dramatic shift from the wide-stretching knit upper featured in Young's second signature edition.
The new design appears to ditch the knitted sock-like upper of its predecessor, opting instead for a mesh structure that boasts digitized detailing. The lace loops are also ingeniously embedded into the 3-Stripes branding, providing a tight, secure grip.
As per preliminary reports, the adidas Trae Young 3 will first be released in an eye-catching pink and peach-orange gradient in August — and a simple white and black variation, too — followed by a chic white and metallic silver colorway in September.
While we await the official specifics, feast on the initial looks of the much-anticipated adidas Trae Young 3 below; stay tuned for more information.
