adidas Unveils Gold Match Ball for the '26 World Cup Final (July 19)
And just like that, there are less than two weeks left to the 2026 World Cup™ tournament. As the Quarter-Finals fixtures begin to be determined, adidas has unveiled the Official Match Ball for the competition's Semi-Finals, Bronze Final (Third Place), and Final.
The closing games will be played with a special-edition Trionda, the innovative football that's captured the essence of the 26 World Cup™'s three host nations—Mexico, Canada, and the United States of America. The Finals Match Ball sees its vibrant green, red, and blue color scheme replaced with a tamer, but elegant "White/Black/Gold Metallic" ensemble that draws inspiration from the World Cup™ Trophy. The names of host cities that saw matchups between some of the sport's biggest names—including Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mabppé, and Cristiano Ronaldo—are scattered throughout the ball, with a shoutout to New York and New Jersey—the area in which the 2026 World Cup™ Final will take place on Sunday, July 19—appearing on the design.
It's still too early to tell which two nations will battle it out in MetLife Stadium to lift up football's greatest trophy, but tournament favorites like France, Spain, Portugal, England, and Argentina are still in the running.
Enjoy detailed shots of the golden adidas Trionda Final Match Ball ahead. Pro and takedown versions of the ball have begun rolling out on adidas.com, with the elite-level retailing for $170.
