Black and Grey adidas Ultra BOOST 5.0 Gets Popped with Infrared
As time goes on, more and more of adidas’ mainline designs are finding themselves in sustainable situations. The Stan Smith, for example, is now only available with at least 50% recycled material. Its Ultra BOOST lineage is leaning that way too, with almost every new release featuring, in some form, pieces of Parley recycled plastics. As is the case for this new black, grey, and infrared iteration of the 5.0 DNA.
The simply-built pair boasts an upper of tonal black and grey weave, with the latter served up in a significantly lighter shade at the midfoot Stripes and midsoles for contrast. On the contrary, branding on the heel clip is murdered out, as too are the Continental rubber outsoles, liners, lacing, and caging. A quick flash of infrared hit the tongue tag and is matched at the medial heel, underfoot Torsion system, and Parley-branded insoles to complete the design.
An official release date for the pair is still unknown, but this new adidas ultra BOOST 5.0 is likely to sneak into select retailers and adidas.com over the coming weeks. When they do hit shelves, we’ll be sure to keep you posted here on our official Twitter account, but until then, enjoy an official look at the pair here below.
