As we approach the annual Lunar New Year festivities next month, sneaker brands that celebrate Asia’s biggest party will begin to unveil their Chinese New Year collections. From the Swoosh, we’ve already laid eyes on the Air Force 1, Kyrie 6 and, earlier today, the potential Air Max 1. From adidas we’ve seen a handful of Hoops offerings — but their centerpiece always circulates around their Ultra BOOST linage. And boy, have they gone all-out this year, with six different variations across two Ultra BOOST silhouettes.

The all-new Ultra BOOST 20 offers up three color options, as does the Ultra BOOST DNA. Being that the impending zodiac belongs to the aesthetically unpleasing rat, most brands — adidas included — are opting for more traditional patterns and prints over rodent motifs. Two 20s and the white DNA go all-out with traditional embroidery embellishments, from lotus flowers to majestic cranes and tigers on the Primeknite forefoot, while others celebrate Chinese culture through neoprene and BOOST prints.

From the look of the style code gaps, we’re almost certain that more pairs will be joining this already-epic pack, which is tipped to arrive towards the end of the year.
