Another adidas Ultra BOOST DNA “CNY” Appears!

As we approach the annual Lunar New Year festivities, the sneaker brands that celebrate Asia’s biggest party will begin to pepper footsites with Chinese New Yearreleases. The latest notable pair to appear amongst a sea of themed releases is this adidas Ultra BOOST DNA “CNY”, which boasts a stand-out white-based upper in a sea of black and red options.

The crisp finish is applied to the entirety of the Primeknit upper, it’s lace cage and heel clip, BOOST midsole, and rope laces, providing a perfect base for the striking red print to pop at the liners, insoles, and midfoot Three Stripes. Said print is filled with traditional designs and tokens; the fortune-filled metallic gold transferring to the tongue and cage branding, light gum rubber outsoles, and ring lace clock for good luck. Completing the design is a special dual Ox motif on the insole heel — the first sneaker of the year to directly honor the Year of the Ox.
