Update 09.16.19 Kanye West is bulking up the back end of the year with
YEEZY drop after YEEZY drop — and now you can add the
“Yecheil” YEEZY 350 v2 to the list for 2019. Its name is seemingly derived from the Hebrew name
Yechiel, meaning
May God Live, continuing Ye’s fixation with religion. It’s been a long-running undertone for his entire body of creative works, from 2004’s single
Jesus Walks, to his more recent Sunday Services — now the theme bleeds into his
YEEZY range. The pair freshens up the brand’s notoriously earthy palate with a colorful mismatched What The-styled upper; Its black Primeknit base boasts red and blue hues up top, with greens and yellows woven in underneath the black profile stripe (you can see the production’s woven fabric further below.) Pairs are expected to arrive with black liners, laces — at this stage it’s unclear if those will be reflective or not — and a black-based sole unit. It’s said to be joined by another similarly-blocked colorway dubbed “Yeehu,” which is claimed to arrive in a black base paired with glow greens — but it has yet to be seen in any form other than production Primeknits.
