adidas ZoneBOOST to Debut on Nov. 30th

Having been spotted on international shelves in both a low top and a mid-cut way back in May, the pair that was first reported to be the adidas Marquee BOOST 2.0 was revealed to be the adidas Kaizam. It even found its way onto the US adidas website under that name last month before it disappeared in mysterious circumstances. It’s back now, however, it’s under another new name, the adidas ZoneBOOST, and its set to arrive in three debut colorways.

Similarly to the Marquee BOOST, the pair is equipped with that beautiful full-length BOOST sole unit intact. Above the fold, though, you’ll find something completely different. The Kaizam goes for a more deconstructed vibe and — in keeping in line with current adidas design ethos — have opted for layering. And there’s a lot of it. Its mesh base is overlayed by glazes at the toe, to leathers, ribbons, and suedes at the vamp. Around the ankles, you’ll find thick-cut leather panels and what appears to be a plastic lock-in cage, likely in aid of lateral movement. A bulbous heel detail, dual pull tabs, and loose-hanging upper eyelet overlay complete the design.

First up for the adidas ZoneBOOST is a classic Core Black, a pastel “Aero Blue” and a clean “Onix” edition, each of which will retail for $130. Pairs are locked in for release at 8:00 am GMT (3:00 am Eastern) on Saturday, November 30th directly from adidas.com.
