If there was a talk about underappreciated sneakers in the market today, the ultra-comfortable adidas ZX 2K5 BOOST would be nearing the top of that list. Hell, even the more popular 2K BOOST doesn’t get anywhere near as much love, which puts the 5K into perspective — we’re tipping that a lot of you didn’t even know the silhouette existed. But after seeing this OG ZX 6000-inspired colorway, we’re sure that you won’t forget it.
Arriving akin to the 1989 original scheme, the pair boasts a like-for-like cream ribbed nylon and suede upper, red liners, and a slightly tweaked aqua-green hue along the ribbon Three Stripe overlays. The OG’s yellow mid-panel/vamp overlays are celebrated here on the midsole casing, while black outsoles return, though here they’re hit with another pop of aqua. New to this silhouette are the midfoot-to-toe mesh overlays, and the pair is completed by aqua tongue tags and dubraes, and a red rear pull.
