Though collaborations from LEGO, Bape, atmos, and Sean Wotherspoon have been stealing the spotlight over the past year, the cult-favorite adidas ZX 8000 has been pumping out some banger colorways in the background. And just as we enter 2021, another has appeared, this time in an ultra-simplistic black and volt option.
It’s Core Black construction relies heavily on its textiles for contrast and differentiation between paneling, with a sleek, shiny mesh upper met by matte black suede at the overlay. Midfoot Three Stripes arrive in twill, while some hi-gloss visuals are added to the rear by-way-of the signature heel clip and a singular leather strip. The former is filled with striking Solar Yellow mesh, with the eyelets, dubraes, insoles, and underfoot Torsion system providing the only other hits of the hue. Branding at the tongue is kept tonal, and the pair is complete with a fully murdered-out sole unit.
Pairs of this Core Black/Solar Yellow adidas ZX 8000 are already available from adidas Australia, so you can expect to see a global rollout of the release happen very soon. Until then, you can enjoy an official look at the pair here below, and be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates
