Update 07.20.20 It appears that the adidas ZX Alkyne “Animal Pack” is an upcoming collaboration from animal-print kings atmos. Both the official retail account and their creative director Hirofumi Kojima shared some teaser images of the collaboration (further below), going on to say that pairs will be limited to just 100 pairs within Japan. An official adidas.com image has surfaced, indicating that there will likely be a wider release at a later date. Take a look at the full set of images here below, and keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter accountfor updates on its release.

OG Post 06.09.20 // Layers, layers, layers. That’s adidas focus moving forward for their newest silhouettes. From the new Nite Jogger to the ZX lineage’s newest silhouette, the adidas ZX Alkyne (incorrectly labeled the ZX 1180 BOOST by leakers) you’ll find uppers overlayed with an array of panels, cages, and clips. But it not only overlays that the two have in common with the new ZX taking some strong influence from the Nite Jogger line for its design.

The never-before-seen silhouette has popped up — now in a second colorway — of Chimeran-like mix of animal prints, including zebra, cheetah, leopard, and tiger — so with such an active upper, its easy to miss the silhouette’s Nite Jogger similarities in the rear you’ll find similar wavy panels at the lateral ankle, while forefoot and toe sections are almost identical to the newly-revamped Jogger, as are the bold, indented outsoles. Translucent midsole panels channel the recent catalog of adidas Hoops releases, whilst midfoot Three Stripe ribbons are reminiscent of the retro Rivalry.

As audacious as you’ll likely get from this new silhouette, the debut adidas ZX Alkyne “Animal Pack” is tipped to arrive in late Summer/Fall 2020. Take in a first look at the two pairs here below, and be sure to keep your eyes locked on our official Twitter accountfor updates on its release.
