Official Looks at the BAPE x Undefeated x adidas ZX 8000

Fresh off its 30th-anniversary celebration of Torsion tech, adidas will be taking their revered lineage into its fourth decade with another trip down memory lane. Across 2021 and 2021, the brand is revisiting its A-ZX concept, a project from 2008-09 that enlisted a wide range of global partners to put their touch of a bevy of 26 lettered ZX releases (see the table below). The reimagined collection for was kicked off last week with the letter R — for retro — with a reissue of the OG ZX 1000C, and having just unveiled the letters J (Juventus), H (Hey Tea) and N (National Parks), it’s now time for the letter B — which is set to be one of the biggest of the bunch; a BAPE x Undefeated x adidas ZX 8000.

The trio has linked up on the ZX line before, delivering a camo-covered ZX 5000 back in 2013. That pair arrived in olive and gum paired with Tricolore Three Stripes. This year’s pair is yet to be sighted, but a quick glance at the table above shows a black, white, and gum thematic, again with the possibility of the famed Bape camo print.

Official images of the BAPE x Undefeated x adidas ZX 8000 have arrived — and as expected, the pair’s monochrome and gold palette does include the former’s famed camo print. The colorless print is then overlayed by jet black suede and striking white leather Three Stripes. Undefeated’s bold strike logo rests prominently at the heel and tongue, and it’s lettering features in a gold foil finish along with the eyelets, and the pair is capped off with co-branded insoles, a simple white and gum rubber outsole.

A release date for the pair is yet to be confirmed, but with official images appearing online today, you can expect a release to occur in the coming weeks — so be sure to keep your eyes glued to our official Twitter account for further updates.
