In an expected follow-up to their initial collaboration earlier this year, CLOT and Adidas are set to release an alternate Black/White colorway of the Adidas Superstar collaboration.
The CLOT x Adidas Superstar in Black/White inverts the color scheme of its predecessor, offering a fresh perspective of the original Superstar colorway while maintaining the innovative spirit of the collaboration.
Arguably, the most distinctive feature of this collaboration remains the jagged outsole and striped heel wedge which draws inspiration from vintage track-and-field runners and infuses the sneaker with an athletic edge. The transition from the athletic undercarriage to the heritage basketball upper is elegantly achieved through a brogue midsole piece, providing a visual contrast that enhances the sneaker's overall appeal. Further distinguishing this version, the black leather upper is complemented by white crimp-cut overlays and perforations, reminiscent of classic brogue detailing, merging Asian streetwear trends of athletics, vintage hoop shoes, and high fashion in one.
A release date for this Black/White colorway of Edison Chen's CLOT x Adidas Superstar has been earmarked on Adidas.com for April 12, 2024.
