Coca-Cola is once again tapping into footwear nostalgia, reconnecting with adidas for a Summer 2026 collaboration that puts the Samba front and center. First looks at the Coca-Cola x adidas Samba reveal a bold, logo-heavy execution that leans unapologetically into heritage branding, channeling the kind of statement-driven design that once defined peak crossover culture.
The Samba arrives dressed in a red textile upper, patterned throughout with repeating white Coca-Cola script — a look that immediately recalls the logo-forward era of late-2010s collaborations. Red suede overlays reinforce the eyestay and heel spine, adding texture and depth without distracting from the print-heavy base. Black leather Three Stripes cut through the midfoot, matched by a black back tab stamped with white Coca-Cola branding, while a black rubber sole grounds the design and keeps the palette anchored in classic Samba territory.
While the execution feels loud by modern standards, it’s far from random. Coca-Cola’s branding history is rooted in repetition and instant recognition, and the Samba’s clean, low-profile shape gives the graphics space to breathe without overwhelming the silhouette. The result feels intentional — more of an archival throwback than a novelty release.

This collaboration also marks a return to familiar territory for both brands. Coca-Cola and adidas first joined forces in 2002 during that year’s World Cup, releasing a red Climacool runner accented with gold co-branding. That partnership was later revisited in 2016, when adidas revived the Climacool alongside additional black and grey colorways. The upcoming 2026 collection feels like a continuation of that lineage, this time anchored to one of adidas Originals’ most culturally enduring models.
Beyond the Samba, additional footwear and apparel are expected as part of the broader Coca-Cola x adidas rollout. Early reports point to co-branded takes on the Superstar and the resurging Adistar Control 5, suggesting a wider lifestyle push timed to the global stage.
The Coca-Cola x adidas Samba is expected to release on adidas.com by June 2026, aligning closely with the start of the continent-wide World Cup. First-look images have surfaced now, with more details likely to follow as the tournament approaches.
In other adidas news, Pharrell's VIRGINIA Jellyfish "Royal Blue" will see a wider release in February.
