If it didn't feel official before, it's certainly feeling official now: adidas is no longer the exclusive kit manufacturer of the German national football team, and it's confirmed its last jersey for the German Football Association (DFB) will release on Tuesday, Nov. 3.
In March 2024, the DFB announced that it had entered a partnership with NIKE, Inc. after 70 years of relationship with the Three Stripes. The news arrived as a shock to the football world as the two German organizations had been synonymous with each other for decades.
The Swoosh capitalized on the move during the 2026 World Cup™, teasing its first jersey for Germany with the help of Jamal Musiala, the 23-year-old Bayern Munich player and one of the faces of the Tiempo Maestro football boot franchise.
adidas commemorated its history with German football by added a special label on the inner hem of Germany's 2026 Home shirt, worn during the World Cup™.
More recently, the brand put together a short film titled The Great Debate in which German footballers, past and present, discuss which is Germany's best jersey of all time. In 73 seconds, Manuel Neuer, Jürgen Klinsmann, and other iconic players make it clear that there are too many memorable options to choose from.
Stay tuned for the official unveiling of adidas' final jersey design for Germany. The shirt should be offered via adidas.com in both short and long-sleeve versions. It's expected the kit sees a classic white-and-black execution.
